CoolSculpting Vs. Sculpture Vs. Liposuction or Liposculpture

CoolSculpting vs. Sculpture

Have you have tried dieting and exercise and you just can’t lose stubborn fat? We get it and are here to tell you there is help! In fact, there are four treatments, Sculpture, Liposculpture, Liposuction, and CoolSculpting to support contouring your body, each offer a different type of fat reduction. Of course, different pros and cons are associated with each treatment. Educate yourself on the different treatments and decide which is best for you.

SculpSure - What it is

SculpSure is one of the newer body sculpting treatments on the market. It uses a laser to heat and shrink the fat and contour the body in areas such as the chin, neck, arms, legs, abdomen, thighs and bum.

Pros of Sculpture
It is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that helps men and women contour and shape their bodies. SculpSure does not require any downtime.

Cons of Sculpture
The heat of the laser causes the fat cell membrane to rupture and causes a physiological chaotic response that the body considers a trauma. This intense response inhibits the body from naturally processing the dead fat cells. Further, if the person conducting the treatment is not highly skilled, the skin can be burned or left scarred.

Liposculpture - What it is
What it is

Liposculpture, the sister treatment to Liposuction, requires a small incision and then a laser is used to shrink the fat and precisely 3D sculpt the body.

Pros of Liposculpture
Although requiring minor surgery it is less invasive than Liposuction. The process can also be very precise. Liposculpture requires more downtime and recovery than SculpSure or CoolSculpting, but it does not require as much as Liposuction.

Cons of Liposculture
The cost of Liposculpture can be between $6000 to $8000 per area. It is also an invasive treatment and with all surgical treatments the risks are higher and the recovery time longer than those treatments that are non-invasive. Also, if the technician conducting the treatment is not highly skilled it can cause scarring, lumpy or generally odd looking or disappointing results.

Liposuction - What it is
What it is

Liposuction is the original body contouring technology, and it is the most common cosmetic procedure in the United States. It is a surgical, invasive procedure that removes areas of fat in the body by suctioning it out of the body.

Pros of Liposuction
Liposuction can contour and shape areas of the body where fat is resistant to diet and exercise.

Cons of Liposuction
Downtime is long and recovery time can last months with Liposuction. As with all invasive procedures there are more risks and potential side effects including infection, kidney issues, numbness, blood clots, scarring. Liposuction is also the most expensive of the four treatments with possible fees being up to $12,000 per treated area. If there is not a commitment to diet and exercise after Liposuction, there is the risk the fat cells may grow back bigger.

CoolSculpting - What it is
What it is

CoolSculpting uses specifically designed applicators for different body areas (neck, chin, arms, bum, legs, thighs, banana roll, back). These applicators apply cold temperatures to kill fat cells. The fat cells are then naturally and safely processed by the bodies lymph system.

Pros of CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is the only treatment of all four mentioned that is both non-invasive and allows the body to naturally process the dead fat cells. CoolSculpting has no downtime. With CoolSculpting when the cells are exposed to cold the body reacts safely and naturally without the risk of scar tissue formation or physiological chaos. For this reason, with CoolSculpting you are much more likely to achieve the contouring results you want without the risk of an unsafe bodily reaction or scarring. CoolSculpting is very economical in relation to the other treatments.

Cons of CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting like all treatments mentioned will not help people lose weight but instead will shape and contour stubborn fat on men and women’s bodies. Also, if not administered by a Cool Sculpting tech who understands both the art and the science of the treatment, the results can be scarring or lumpy skin. For this reason, Denver Laser Solutions uses the most advanced CoolSculpting technology on the market and our technicians have the education and experience in both the art of body shaping - and the science of the technology.
